This worked example draws on the collective experiences of schools involved in the Australian Education Research Organisation (AERO)’s Learning Partner project. It shows a completed implementation plan, with examples for each part of the process outlined in our practice guide, Developing a School Implementation Plan:
- Get ready – establishing an implementation team and goal, and identifying the core elements of the evidence-based practice to be implemented
- Identify and prioritise – identifying enablers and barriers and selecting implementation strategies
- Determine implementation outcomes – selecting outcomes and using them to monitor progress
- Schedule, and adjust when needed – using implementation stages to identify and schedule activities while remaining flexible.
As an implementation team, read this worked example and discuss considerations for your school’s implementation process. As you begin drafting your own implementation plan using the School Implementation Plan Template, have this worked example and the practice guide open.
