This module supports school leaders and implementation teams in building their understanding of a deliberate and structured approach to implementing evidence-based teaching practices in their school context. It includes recordings from an Australian Education Research Organisation (AERO) Implementation Consultant, who is working directly with Australian schools, and a school leader.
It outlines why evidenced-informed implementation is important and the 4 key components:
- using a staged approach
- addressing enablers and barriers to implementation
- selecting and using implementation strategies
- establishing and monitoring implementation outcomes.
It’s part of a series of resources that provide practical advice on implementation, drawing on implementation research and AERO’s work with schools.
